Felting Disaster

Ok, the whole felting thing was a mess! The purse is now bigger than when I started. I even sent it through the wash twice.....oh well, my first knitting disaster. I started my CP Squiggle scarf. This stuff is a trip! Really hard to work with but I think it will be really cute when done.

Kindergarten Roundup......waaaaaaaaah!

We just got back from Noey's kindergarten roundup! I seriously considered taking something along to knit while there, but glad I didn't.....it would've gotten all wet from my tears!! I can't believe my baby is going to be in kindergarten next year! But the school is nice.....

My new yarn has arrived!! I got my order from Fuzzy Galore today. 14 skeins of Crystal Palace yarn!! I'm in heaven! I can't wait to get started!  Posted by Hello

Here is the flat version. Posted by Hello

I finished the neck warmer last night near midnight! It turned out so cute! The button is from my grandmother's collection. I don't really know how to make crochet flowers so I just winged it. It is nice and warm, so I won't be able to wear it for some time. It is modeled here by Mabel, my dressmakers dummy, who so graciously models all of my creations. Still Waiting

I'm still waiting for my big online orders to arrive, so I stopped by my LYS after dropping Noey off at school this morning. I picked up 2 skeins of Lion Brand Kool Wool in grass, which I have been coveting for some time....love the color. I am attempting to make a neck warmer without pattern...and here it was 80 degrees today!! I also got some Wool Ease sport weight to play around with and TLC Macaroon in a hot pink to finish all the ponchos for Noey's friends. I finished Zeeby's Bag, but not sure if I like it. It's HUGE! I think I will attempt to felt it and see what happens. I am also working on a spring scarf with a little felt heart on the end. I saw that and the neck warmer on Sugar Cubed Blog. They are both about 50% done. And I bought another book....I've got quite a collection of books now....The Learn To Knit a Sweater Book. Looks like I may actually be able to knit a sweater or two....just in time for summer!! Oh well, I can start working on Christmas presents.

In My Basket

Currently in my knitting basket: 1) Zeeby's Bag from Stitch N Bitch Handbook 2) Jen's Poncho from The Knit Stitch 3) Spring Scarf 4) Neck Warmer 5) Two little girl ponchos

I dropped Noey off at preschool one day, and her teacher was wearing a brown scarf like the one in the middle. I examined it carefully and then drove directly to the yarn store. I finished that evening, wore it the next day to work, and promptly received 6 orders!! Posted by Hello

My Knit History

I started knitting in October 2004 and now I am addicted! I started out with scarves....scarves....and more scarves. Everyone got a scarf for Christmas last year, and I even sold a few. Then I moved on to ponchos....yes I know they are "out" but I still like them and I can make them!! I'm on to a sweater next. (fingers crossed)
